UK Delegation Explores Strategic Partnership with Interswitch Group

In a significant step toward fostering international collaboration, Interswitch Group, a leading African integrated payments and digital commerce company, welcomed a high-profile delegation from the British Deputy High Commission and the United Kingdom’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT) at its headquarters.

The delegation, led by British Deputy High Commissioner Jonny Baxter, included prominent figures such as the UK’s Trade Envoy to Nigeria, Florence Eshalomi, MP; Director General for Investments in Africa, Ceri Smith; His Majesty’s Deputy Trade Commissioner for Africa, Ben Ainsley; DBT Country Director Mark Smithson; Deputy Country Director and Investment Officer Morayo Adekunle; and James Harding, Private Secretary to the Director General for Investments.

Interswitch’s Founder and Group Managing Director, Mitchell Elegbe, hosted the visit, accompanied by key executives, including Akeem Lawal, Managing Director of Payment Processing and Switching (Interswitch Purepay); John Maguire, Group Chief Financial Officer; Chinyere Don-Okhuofu, Managing Director of Interswitch Industry Ecosystems (Interswitch Indeco); and the Managing Director of Payment Tokens (Verve International).
