Decide has taken its biggest step yet toward becoming a workplace staple rather than just another AI tool professionals discover on their own. Founded in 2025 by former Flutterwave software engineer Abiodun Adetona, Decide lets users analyse, clean and manipulate spreadsheet data using natural language instead of formulas, and the startup just launched Decide for Work, an enterprise deployment arm to distribute its spreadsheet AI agent through universities, co working spaces, and other professional communities.
The launch's centerpiece is Decide's first major deployment partnership with CafeOne, a co working network with over 30 locations across Nigeria. Under the arrangement, CafeOne members with an active subscription will receive premium access to Decide as part of their membership, providing AI tools for spreadsheet analysis and research, spanning subscription tiers that range from roughly six dollars daily to about seventy nine dollars monthly. Adetona framed the significance of the partnership simply, noting that CafeOne has built a nationwide community of professionals, founders, freelancers, operators, analysts and growing teams.
The strategic logic behind meeting users where they already work reflects a broader shift happening across early stage AI companies. For early-stage AI companies, distribution is increasingly becoming as important as model performance, since many products now build on the same foundation models from companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, making customer acquisition, not technical capability, the more durable competitive constraint. Embedding software inside organisations lowers the cost of acquiring users while increasing the likelihood that those users build lasting habits, a dynamic Decide is now testing directly through CafeOne's dense network of founders, consultants and finance teams.
The timing lines up neatly with how quickly African workplaces are embracing AI tools. By the end of 2025, 64% of African workers reported using AI at work over the previous year, ahead of the global average of 54%, according to a PwC survey, giving Decide's enterprise push a genuinely receptive audience to land in.
What makes the story more remarkable is the technical credibility Decide has built with a strikingly small team. The startup has completed more than 41,000 analysis runs and helped users create and analyse over 21,000 spreadsheets since launch, and is used by professionals across more than 10 countries, including at organizations like KPMG, PwC, Bank of America, and OPay. On SpreadsheetBench, a rigorous benchmark developed by researchers from Tsinghua University and Renmin University of China and introduced at NeurIPS 2024, Decide achieved 82.5% verified accuracy, solving 330 of 400 verified tasks, a ranking that places Decide alongside models from leading AI companies such as OpenAI and Anthropic, with only three agents scoring higher globally. All of this was built by a team of just three people, without external venture funding, making Decide's rise one of the more remarkable capital efficient AI stories to come out of Nigeria this year.
